I have had this refrigerator for less than 3 years and it has been nothing but problems. The ice maker troth spills water over into the back of the freezer and constantly freezes up the condenser and fan. Ice collects around the fan and it makes an extremely loud noise. I have to pull this freezer apart about every 2-3 weeks to defrost it. Also the bottom freezer drawer is constantly frozen to the bottom of the freezer. I am constantly removing 2 inches of ice from the freezer. It also leaks water all over the place due to the freezer constantly being frozen. I did have a Whirlpool technician come to the house multiple times. His fix for the ice maker was to put duct tape over the water troth and the back wall of the freezer to prevent water from spilling. Yes you read that right, DUCT TAPE! In my freezer. Which did nothing at tall! If you have any food or liquids close to the condenser in the fridge part, that will also freeze. Whoever designed this thing should be have their head examinded! This is by far the worst appliance I have ever purchased! The doors just fling open and I swear they are about to fall off. I was told that is was perfectly balanced. Periodically the water and ice dispenser will stop working. I will give it one star just for the black stainless color which is nice. It does show fingerprints though. OH and lets not forget the water and ice dispenser with periodically stop working and you can only fit a coffee cup in the door to get water and ice out of it. It also constantly drops ice cubes on the floor and the water dispenser leaks. AGAIN STAY AWAY FROM THIS GARBAGE!!!!!!

Fit our small dimensional requirements.

Bought for its smaller (33") dimensions needed for our kitchenette, we found it surprising that it was more expensive than your larger 36" similar model. Also thought the black SS was excessively priced compared to regular SS on the same model. The front bottom left has a white tube and hinge which contrasts sharply with the black SS and lower supports. I had to improvise with black foam and tape to hide this from view. Otherwise, this highly rated Whirlpool fit our dimensional restrictions and will hopefully run problem free for a long lifetime.

It was missing the can-caddy and I™€™m waiting for a service call that the store is requiring before they will order me one. Makes me wonder if anything else is missing, like an egg container ot butter tray that was included in other refrigerators I have purchased in the past? I will also be asking the technician about the refrigerator door that swings fully open with a hard stop when used. Thinking a ™€œsoft stop™€ would be standard? It is keeping good temperature and looks sleek and modern.

Rating s for only having for about 3 weeks. Fairly quiet with nice looks for price. Only complaint is the side by side doors are not level with each other. Or the handles are not installed correctly. When doors are closed, the handles are offset with each other and from the side looks to have a different roundness. Wish it could be corrected.

The doors swing all the way back when opening because they are so light weight. We had a 1987 GE Profile side by side that was still working! Wish we kept it!

Needs work on the ice/water dispenser design.

The refrigerator is just OK. Drawers don't glide smoothly, seem cheap. The ice/water dispensing is seriously flawed. The spot to dispense ice is so small only short glasses will fit. Can't get any typical water bottles in there. The water dispenser is located on the very front of the refrigerator and not in with the ice dispenser. This makes using the light to see how full the cup is useless.

A little bit of a letdown

Overall, it does keep things refrigerated or frozen. Here are my issues, or rather, the reason for 3 stars: --The icemaker spits out cubes with such force that some go to the floor. Crazy. and it is LOUD when making ice. --The installers said "you are good to go." Not so. A few days after using the icemaker, it spit our chunks of Styrofoam. Yuck. We did not see it beforehand nor were we warned to look for it. --The freezer is just TOO small. --The plastic protective covering does not come off 100%. There are plastic leftovers in some of the seals and is sticking out. The installers just said, "good luck with that. Maybe use a tweezers." Stupid packaging. see pic below. --The sides of the refrigerator are NOT stainless steel like the doors. They are rather ugly. Previously I bought a Whirlpool range, dishwasher and microwave. None of those appliances had metal like that. It was all beautiful black stainless.

Where™€™s the light??

I bought this refrigerator a month ago and so far, I haven™€™t had any issues. However, when dispensing water, the light does not illuminate your glass. It illuminates light for the ice being dispensed only. I would expect that if you are going to have the water dispensing in FRONT of the ice, you would have designed it so that there was light when dispensing both! So much for not having to turn on an overhead light to get a glass of water. On the plus side, it does dispense cold water, which my last refrigerator did not.

I bought this refrigerator because it had good reviews and family and friends have said Whirlpool is a great brand. The delivery process was great. We noticed the freezer door did not line up evenly with the refrigerator door. I emailed and called Whirlpool and received no help. I was told we would have to fix the door. Both representatives were rude and of no help. My husband finally had to fix the doors himself. I am hoping we have no other issues with this refrigerator.

We bought this refrigerator on 12/12/2020. It was delivered in January of 2021. The warranty expired in January of 2024. A few weeks later the ice maker started going out. I would have to grab the tray and force it left or right to bring it back to life. This became 1-3 times a week for almost 2 years. It no longer works as of November of 2025. Since there is a circuit board, I believe it was programmed to have problems after the warranty expired. Therefore I think we are owed a new ice maker.

Bought on Nov 12 dust off delivery they keep texting be here in 2 hours, the 1 hour then I get a text at 3:45 they weren™€™t coming and were reschedule for 5 more days. Unacceptable! Spent 2 hours on phone about delivery. Then a supervisor and I finally decide on the date they had changed it to and I get and email for a different day that was almost impossible for me to make. Long story. Then there™€™s problems with the one they delivered now I have to work thru Thanksgiving to get a replacement delivered.

Not as good as the older version.

We bought this because it was the only one that fit in the space. It's the new version of our 20 year old refrigerator and not as good. The temperature settings are limited to a choice of 5 "ice cube" icons, with no indication of actual temperature. It does not hold whatever temperature is set. It is very noisy. Shelf heights are pre-set and can't be adjusted. The ice machine can't be turned off (e.g. when you go away for a while) without taking out the entire ice container. It's not terrible, but I wouldn't recommend it unless, like us, your space constraints require it.

Not happy

We received this refrigerator on Saturday, 6/14/25. On Monday, 6/16/25, we had to call Whirlpool because the ice maker was not working. WHAT A NIGHTMARE. After almost 2 hours I finally got somebody who could actually help me. She set up a service appointment for Wednesday 6/18/25. The service guy came out and said we need a new icemaker. He had to order the part and we should hear something from them within the week. Today is Tuesday, 6/24/25 and we have heard nothing. After spending $1700 on a new refrigerator, we have to buy ice. Our broken GE worked better than this. The only reason you are not getting less stars is because the freezer and fridge work great.

I do like the fridge but the ice cube tray is not as good as my old one, when I go to get ice it is very close to where the water comes out, so I have to be very careful and when I get ice, cubes fall all over the floor, not impressed with the ice cube dispenser at all. Hate it actually. I also wish there was only had 2 vegetable trays, but there are 3 and I would have rather had an extra shelf, I also do not like that I can not choose my shelf levels. Very disappointed, thought I was going to get similar to my older Refrigerator, but very disappointed. Wish you would have had it in the store for me to look at or I wish the sales rep would have showed me specs of the inside before I bought it. Just shows how the sales rep just wanted to sell the product and not tell me more about it before I purchased it.

J™€™aime bien le rÃfrigÃrateur, pratique pour avoir de la glace et eau. Pas trop bruyant. Espace de rangement côtà frigidaire assez grand, par contre l™€™espace de rangement pour le congÃlateur est très petit. Quand on possède un autre congÃlateur ça va.

Terrible experience

We had a black refrigerator that was about 10 ™€“ 15 years old and we were looking to update it to a black stainless side by side. We went to an appliance store and they suggested the Whirlpool. They gave us a model number (WRS321SDHV) and I went home and looked it up on the internet. My wife & I liked the way it looked so we went back to the dealers and ordered it. It was delivered and installed on March 27,2025. After it was installed we noticed some issues. 1. The refrigerator had been wrapped in a plastic film. The installers removed the film but it appears as though the plastic was applied to the panels before construction. Even though you could remove most of the plastic film it was stuck in between panels. It is impossible to remove the plastic completely. My wife & I spent several hours trying to get the bits and pieces removed but it is impossible to remove it all. It™€™s at the point where we removed most of it but you can™€™t use any kind of sharp instruments on it or you will scratch the surface. We used our finger nails. Who ever thought of applying the plastic film in this manner should be fired. 2. In the pictures of the refrigerator I saw online and the one Whirlpool sent me in an email asking me to review the product you can clearly see that there are panels across the bottom of the refrigerator near the floor that hide the bottom hinges and door mount apparatus. The refrigerator does have a panel that hides the wheels but not one to cover the bottom hinges and door mount apparatus. On top of that the hinges and door mount apparatus is white and silver. On a black stainless refrigerator it looks hideous. I went back to the dealer and they showed me a white refrigerator and said that is the way it should be. They suggested that I call Whirlpool, which I did. I was told that Whirlpool decided to remove the cover because it was causing problems. It was suggested that I paint the hinges and door mount apparatus black which I did. It looks better, but not as good as it did in the pictures. Why didn™€™t Whirlpool at least update the pictures so I could make an informed decision. I can™€™t imagine how a company could sell a product with issues as obvious as these. When you pay a decent price for a product you don™€™t expect to have issues from day one. The company should be ashamed of itself. My wife wants to upgrade all of our appliances to black stainless but you can bet that we won™€™t be looking at Whirlpool products.

Glad it fit my space!

Found a nice refrigerator that fit in my space. The only thing I do not like is the exposed white wires on the bottom of the freezer door. I paid more for a black stainless steal and the exposed wires look cheap. Do you have something that would cover the wires? I do have pictures if needed. I also don't think the water coming out is very cold. Have to use ice to cool it down. All other features work great.

Ample Storage & Easy Access

Fits perfectly. Black Stainless matched my other appliances. Always had a top freezer but decided to get the side by side for the water and ice dispenser convenience. The 3 bottom drawers make storage and access quick and easy. Shelving not adjustable so plan to use door storage for milk and taller containers. Only issue is the top of the doors are not level with each other. Highly recommend.

Louder that we would have hoped and it is not on the list of noises that come with the book. There are times it rattles and can be very loud. However it is very well lit inside and the room works well for a family of four food supply
